50th Wedding Anniversary
Please join Gaylord & Sharolyn Lind for cake & coffee on Sunday, September 5th during coffee fellowship to help celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

 

Carroll & Donna Sarsland are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter Corina Sarsland of Rockford, to Dan Kieselhorst of Chaska.  They plan to marry October 23, 2010 at United Presbyterian Church of Rockford with a reception at Medina.  Contact the church for their address.

 

"Time for Tea, Time for Women," the first-ever fundraising event for the Women's Fund of the Willmar Area Community Foundation, is set for 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16 at the Willmar Holiday Inn Conference Center. There will be different kinds of tea, a wide variety of foods to sample, entertainment, a raffle and a short program at 5:30 p.m. The cost of the tea is $40 per person, of which $20 is tax deductible. Those who wish to attend should register in advance at.communitygiving.org/willmar.

 

The Women's Fund was established in 2008 as a component fund of the Willmar Area Community Foundation (WACF). The mission of the fund is to support access for women and girls to lives of economic and social strength. Funds raised through "Time for Tea, Time for Women" will provide grants for area non-profit organizations serving women and teenage girls in Kandiyohi County. Previous grants were awarded to Ridgewater College for the pre-nursing program, Shelter House, Kitchen Kamp for teen moms and the Child Guide Program in the Willmar schools. Members of the Women's Fund Steering Committee are Suzanne Napgezek, Shelley Hedlund, Lynn Johnson, Smitty Luschen, Lynnea Pritchett, Connie Vanderbill Medin, Colleen Thompson Michels, Kathy Nelson Hund, Connie Spartz and Marni Vollan. Honorary member is Diane Buzzeo.
